Tony Thurlow has been a carpenter for 20 years and has experience in all areas of carpentry and a true passion for all things wood. After a school work experience placement with a local carpenter Tony knew he had found his calling and went on to do a traditional apprentiship until he qualified with and NVQ level three and became self employed.

Tony spent many years contracting on building jobs which gave him a good working practice but he always indulged in more creative jobs  in his spare time. In recent years he has dedicated all of his time to creating bespoke projects and is most passionate about space saving furniture and outdoor spaces. He creates furniture that will last and prides himself in his attention to detail.

A self confessed horder, Tony often collects unusual and vintage items for upcycling and using in future projects such as lead lined windows, interesting panels and any ancient wood.

His greatest work to date is ‘The Showman’s Shack’ which was a project that took over a year to complete and utilised a broad rage of Tony’s skills
